Some of my favorite people!

I ran 5.5 miles today (762.5 miles). It was the day after our national roundtable where we brought together Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people from across the country to discuss the role of ethics in the creation of government health policy and programming aimed at Aboriginal communities. The meeting began with the most wonderful event, the birth of Rhonda and Dom's son, Jonathan. We had teased Rhonda about having her baby early and not being able to attend the NRT after she had organized it. Much to our surprise her water broke Wednesday AM. She had the baby at 3AM Thursday, the first day of the NRT. The pictures above are of some of my colleagues who were at the national roundtable and they are truly some of my favorite peoples. They are brilliant, creative and grounded in their cultures. Our meeting was done in ceremony and circle and was a very special experience that yielded information that we will analyze in our efforts to change the world for the better.
