Halifax!

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. David Healy who also gave a keynote at the conference. He is a brilliant scholar whose work is incredibly important. I wish I would have been more familiar with his research prior to meeting him because I now have a number of questions I would like to ask him. Besides being an influential scholar he is also a great deal of fun, however I completely missed his joke about playing soccer. Now if it would have been hockey...

Lance Armstrong spoke to me again!
I cannot believe how wonderful our weather is! I went for a run at 7:30PM and it was beautiful short sleeve weather. The river was like glass and there were lots of people out enjoying the sunset and warm evening. I had a good run, two in a row now. Skender told me last night that I was running faster than usual. My leg was feeling better and trying to keep up with him on his bike made me push myself a bit harder. Tonight after my 4 mile run (742.5 miles) Lance Armstrong announced on my ipod that I had run my fastest mile yet! I didn't catch how fast he said I ran but I do know my "fast" is slow for most runners I know :)
