Beautiful November Day

I ran 6 miles tonight (865 miles). I am so happy the weather has warmed up again. It was a beautiful day today, 15C and sunny. The river bank is quickly changing from Autumn reds and yellows to November browns and oranges. It is still beautiful and I probably have taken more pictures of the train bridge than any one runner needs. I love photographing the bridges and I try to get new angles or reflections each time I run.

Meeting Jack

I ran three miles tonight (859 miles). It was quite a nice evening for running but I only had a half hour to squeeze my run in. Skender and I looked at a dog early in the afternoon. I am warming up to the idea that it is time to expand our little family to include a buddy for Skender. Jack is a beautiful dog. A mix of spaniel, labrador and maybe something else. He is very sweet and Skender fell head over heals in love with him. I have to admit I did too. He will be a great dog to run with and he appears to have a perfect temperament for our laid back household. Now for the difficult decision.

The grant is done!!!

I ran 6 miles today (856 miles). It was a good day for running but I'm still tired from the stress of getting the grant in yesterday. I am so happy it is submitted and I hope that we are successful. We'll know in early March whether we are awarded the funding and if successful we will begin working on the project in early April.
Skender and I are talking more and more about getting a dog. We are probably not ready for a dog but Skender wants one so badly and he is now at the age where he can help look after a dog. It would also be a good companion for both of us.

850 Miles!

I ran 7 miles late afternoon (850 miles). It was bit chilly because of the wind but still comfortable. I am now 150 miles away from my goal and still hoping to end my 1000 miles in Las Vegas. We had a beautiful full moon tonight and by the time I ran past the train bridge it was completely dark making for a great night shot. The moon was beautiful over the river and running in the moonlight was a nice treat.
